Since seeing Jennifer Lawrence and Bradley Cooper co-star in Silver Linings Playbook we've always harboured hopes that one day they might get it together IRL. And after they played a couple second time round in Serena and had crossing roles in American Hustle, we really thought it could happen.
But sorry everyone - Bradley has now put rumours of any chemistry between the pair to bed, once and for all, by saying they will 'never' sleep together. It really is a purely platonic deal between these two.
Bradley made the comments in an interview with Howard Stern while promoting new movie Burnt, after the host brazenly asked him "What is going on there? Jennifer Lawrence. You're doing another movie with her. Is she becoming the woman you have the most chemistry with? What is going on?"* *
To which Bradley replied "It's due to David O. Russell, that's what's happening. We did Silver Linings Playbook together. We got along great."
He then went on to explain the lack of romantic connection saying "It just didn't happen." And added that he would "never" have sex with her. "It's not the way we are together."
Howard also brought up the time Bradley name-dropped their 15-year age difference. "I said that once on a red carpet just as a diffuse thing," he said. "And then it became a thing because the girl I was seeing [Suki Waterhouse] was as young as she was."
And this isn't a one sided thing - last year J-Law shut down the speculation too, saying to People of their relationship: "No sex!"
We guess we'll just have to close the book on any hopes we had of these two getting together.
