Trend Tuesday: What’s New For Nails

05 March 2013 by

In this week’s brand new issue we beauty ladies update you lovely lot on exactly what is new for nails and reveal that for the first time in years there is no huge new colour trend to rave about, no O.T.T nail art on show and not even a speck of glitter to be seen.  Instead nude, natural and perfectly groomed nails have dominated on both on the spring/summer catwalks and the recent red carpets too.

But fear not – this doesn’t mean that your nail shopping habit has to end, because there’s a brand new breed of so-right-now nudes and cutting edge care products which will guarentee the perfect spring tips in no time at all.

And while you’ll have to get your no doubt perfectly manicured hands on the issue to get the complete lowdown, we’re in the mood for nude, so allow us to introduce a fair few of our fave new shades...

Lancome Vernis in Love in Pure Narcisse, £12.50 - This pink is so pale it’s almost white, and we love the pearlescent effect it creates on your nail. Guaranteed to leave hands looking perfectly groomed, think ‘no make-up’ make-up for fingers.

Bourjois So Laque Glossy in Oh So Rose, £4.49 - This gorgeous candy-floss pink not only looks pretty, but promises not to budge for up to ten days. We’re sold.

Estee Lauder Pure Colour in Ballerina Pink, £14.50 Quite simply nude nail perfection...

Bobbi Brown Nail polish in Roza, £11 - With a touch of pale-mocha brown, this is a more sophisticated, evening-appropriate take on the big nude nails trend.

Bourjois So Laque Glossy in Beige, £4.49 - Channel your inner 70’s goddess with this retro shade.  A real ‘café au lait’ colour.

Butter London in Shandy, £13 - With a slight apricot hue, this is ideal for girls afraid to go totally nude.  We love the opaque finish too.
