Dr Colbert hand-designed a bottle of his Illumino Oil for every Angel ahead of last night's show- super cute!
When a glowing complexion and glossy limbs are an assumed prerequisite in the life of a Victoria’s Secret Angel, it goes without saying that both their beauty regimes and make-up bags must be pretty hard-working and well thought-out. With their ethereal beauty and beyond radiant skin, even us ladies on the Grazia beauty desk are forever in awe and long to know their beauty secrets. So, you can imagine how excited we were to get some backstage scoop last night at the Victoria’s Secret 2013 Fashion Show where the likes of Karlie, Cara, Behatii and Candice were strutting their stuff in the brand’s latest collections...
What’s more, amidst the carnage backstage, a certain Dr David Colbert could be found frantically prepping the girls before they hit the catwalk, dousing them in what might just be the secret ingredient to some serious VS beauty- Colbert MD’s Illumino Oil. We’ve all heard that a facial oil is the best investment we can make for our pallid complexions, but this nifty product really does tick all the boxes and guarantees a winning, gleaming glow.
Angel Lily Aldridge couldn't be without her Illumino Oil (@LilyAldridge)
Dr Colbert, the founder of the Colbert MD skincare range, used a unique combination of marula, argan passion fruit, olive oil, grapeseed and borage oils to produce a stellar facial oil that helps deliver a serious glow thanks to the addition of retinol, vitamin C and hyaluronic acid which really penetrate the skin to allow all the delicious ingredients to be absorbed deep into the skin. Sound impressive? We think so, which might just be why the Angels are all so obsessed with this fantastic facial oil. Although the leading ladies always schedule time in for one of Dr Colbert’s infamous Triad facials prior to the big shows (the Angels get a special full-body treatment), a bottle of Illumino is always close to hand backstage and a little birdie tells us that every single Angel applies the oil from head to toe before hitting the catwalk. What’s more, there are rumours that a body version of Illumino Oil will be released in the US next year. Stay tuned!
