Benefit Boo Boo Zap, £13.50

'The festive season isn't the time for dieting, but that doesn't mean late nights, turkey feasts and masses of mulled wine won't affect your skin. In the event of a breakout, or if you're in the 'prevention is better than cure' camp, [a target="_blank" href="http://www.benefitcosmetics.co.uk/product/view/boo-boo-zap">Benefit's Boo Boo Za[/a]p is the one. The thin bottle and cork-screw top is perfect for carrying around if need be, but one little dab is usually enough to keep your skin spot free. It's a little life saver.'

Aerin The Fragrance Collection, £70

Potentially the ultimate Christmas pressie (for yourself), this beautiful [a target="_blank" href="http://www.esteelauder.co.uk/AerinBeauty/products/mpp/index.tmpl?CATEGORY_ID=CAT11956">limited edition set[/a] of 5 unique fragrances (each 9ml), will perk up any bathroom shelf. Small enough for even the teensiest of party clutches, we’re loving every single one!

No time to wash your hair before the Christmas party? Panic over. We’ve become truly obsessed with this new [a target="_blank" href="http://www.boots.com/en/Dove-Style-Care-Dry-Shampoo-200ml_1372031/">dry shampoo[/a] from high-street hero Dove- with its super-fresh smell and cute white bottle, we suggest you stock up now, before it’s a real sell-out!

Origins GinZing Energy Boosting Moisturiser, £23

Think of this as an energy drink for your skin- this light, weightless [a target="_blank" href="http://www.origins.co.uk/product/3858/26237/Skincare/Category/Moisturisers/GinZing/Energy-boosting-moisturizer/index.tmpl?cm_mmc=GoogleBase-_-ShoppingFeed-_-Category-_-Moisturisers&77tadunit=ef65a051&77tadvert=33693835005&77tkeyword=&77tentrytype=s&77tentry=shopping_feed_ppc&gclid=CKvKl62LrbsCFabLtAodTEgAQg">cream[/a] will deliver a serious hit of moisture to the skin and will give even the most pallid of complexions a much needed zing with the help of gingseng and coffee extracts. A Christmas party necessity? We think so.

Carita Fluide de Beaute 14, £45

This pretty, [a target="_blank" href="http://www.carita.com/produit/fluide-de-beaute-14-paillete/">gold-speckled oil [/a]isn’t just nice to look at- its ultrafine texture will cleverly deliver moisture wherever applied, as well as a gorgeous golden shimmer. So whether it’s for your limbs, dry hands or pesky flyaways, this is one seriously festive multi-purpose oil. We love!

Kahina Giving Beauty Fez Body Serum, £85

We’ve fallen head over heels for this gorgeous body serum which takes its inspiration from the Imperial city of Fez, Morocco. With an impressive blend of essential oils, this super-luxe formula will work hard to dramatically improve the skin’s elasticity and texture as well as leaving it silky smooth. This is the [a target="_blank" href="http://www.net-a-porter.com/product/437354">perfect splurge[/a] for a weekend of pre-party prep.

Skyn Iceland Fresh Start Mask, £25

'Skyn Iceland are inspired by the pure, untampered beauty of Iceland, both in their philosophy and ingredients.  I was already a huge fan of their lotion and eye pen, so was keen to explore more from the brand. Their [a target="_blank" href="http://www.skyniceland.com/product-81-fresh-start-mask">detoxifying mask[/a], rich in Aloe Vera gel and Blue Clay, comes in a double sachet to highlight the differing effects of each step. The first sachet of blue clay feels like a normal clay mask and thankfully doesn't leave skin feeling too tight. The  the activating gel of the second stage has to be applied immediately after and it is in this stage where you really feel the difference. Within seconds you face begins to tingle but feels remarkably cool. I'd buy it for this sensation alone, as you can really feel your skin absorbing the nutrients. The results are amazing. Not only did my skin feel instantly smooth and bright, but I also felt immediately revived; perfect for pre- or post-party prep.'

Tom Ford Traceless Foundation Stick, £62

'This [a target="_blank" href="http://www.selfridges.com/en/Beauty/Brand-rooms/Brands/TOM-FORD/Cosmetics/Face/Traceless-Foundation-Stick_450-3001058-TRACELESSFNDTNSTICK/">foundation[/a] by Tom Ford leaves skin looking perfectly flawless and feeling silky soft. Fantastic coverage that is barely identifiable as foundation. Definitely one for those extra special occasions.'
