[Georgia May Jagger for Thierry Mugler]
Georgia May Jagger has been revealed as the new face of Thierry Mugler's fragrance Angel. She's following in the footsteps of leading ladies including Naomi Watts, Eva Mendes and her mum Jerry Hall, who was the face of the scent from 1995 until 1997.
The cult fragrance launched in 1992, with Thierry shooting the first ever campaign himself. Since then the ads have become iconic, each starring a glamorous woman shrouded in blue light as she holds the icy star-shaped bottle.
Thierry teased Georgia's shoot this morning, posting a blue-toned snap of the model on Twitter. Her campaign was photographed by Sølve Sundsbø last December and is expected to have the tag line 'Beware of Angels'. Georgia's described the ad as 'creative', explaining to WWD that at one point she was actually painted blue and covered in sparkles.

'My mother was a muse of Mugler and appeared regularly in his Paris runway shows,' says Georgia. 'I have such wonderful memories of the fragrance and my mother's involvement with the Mugler brand. It's very special to me to be following in my mother's footsteps.'
Sandrine Groslier, global president of Clarins Fragrance Group, is equally pleased with the collaboration, explaining: 'Today, we want to offer Angel a muse worthy of its audacity and magnificence. Georgia May Jagger is a charismatic and intelligent woman, blending an innate glamour with a rock attitude.'
We'll be able to get a first glimpse at Georgia's ads when they launch on June 23 in Europe (although they won't hit US magazines until the autumn). The model showed her support for the brand at the Met Ball last night, sporting a super slinky black Thierry Mugler for the event.
