First Look! Prada Candy Teaser by Wes Anderson and Roman Coppola Starring Lea Seydoux

18 March 2013 by

Prada’s latest mini fashion film is a dramatic ultra-stylised vignette for the brand’s hot pink-packaged fragrance, Candy. Looks like Sofia Coppola, director of Oscar-winning Lost In Translation, everyone’s favourite film about shoes and revolution, Marie Antoinette, not to mention BFF of Marc Jacobs – isn’t the only one in the Coppola family being courted by the world of high fashion.

The short was created by the duo behind last year’s indie smash, Moonrise Kingdom - Wes Anderson and Roman Coppola and it features a familiar face in the form of Lea Seydoux. Pwetty!

(Wes Anderson is also a bit of a fashion icon in his own right, being responsible for some of the quirkiest celluloid icons of recent years – remember Gwynneth Paltrow as Margot Tenembaum anyone?)

Today, this 12 second teaser has been released – and there’ll be more to come. We can’t wait. And if you’re a fan of Sofia/Roman/this sort of thing, don’t forget to buy Grazia tomorrow, where we bring you the scoop on Sofia’s next project – a film called The Bling Ring about LA teenagers turned celebrity burglars, which was produced by her brother Roman, and stars Emma Watson, no less.
