Rihanna Gets Sultry In The Campaign For Her Latest Fragrance, Rogue

Calling all Ri-Ri fans: a shot has been released from the advertising campaign for Rihanna’s new fragrance, Rogue, which is due to hit the UK market late this year. The shot shows the singer with her now trademark undercut on display and blonde blow-dried hair draped over one shoulder, but there's no slick of red lipstick or fierce eye makeup. Instead, she looks pared back and natural, with her skin glowing, her feet bare and her curves encased in nothing more than a black slip. The black and white image is worlds away from Ri's studded, tattooed and crop-top wearing self.

So it seems that we can expect a more subtle and refined scent from Rihanna’s new fragrance, which will first grace US stores in September. We are promised a blend of lemon blossom, cyclamen, jasmine, rose, plum and suede over musky base notes of woods, patchouli, vanilla and amber. All in all, a feminine scent with depth.

Of her new venture, Rihanna said ‘People are always changing and evolving and with Rogue I wanted to switch it up to reflect who I am today. I made it for all women, for every mood, because we all want to project our true selves’.

Rogue will join Rihanna’s earlier fragrances, Rebelle and Nude and Reb’l Fleur. Whilst Rebelle is associated with the flame-haired Rihanna of old, the Nude campaign showed a platinum blonde Rihanna laughing girlishly at the camera. Rogue will, it seems, present an altogether more sensual and worldly side of the songstress to the fragrance world. We can’t wait to take a closer look.
