Here comes the bride! Cheryl Fernandez-Versini launches her first ever fragrance [Getty/Cheryl]
All hail Cheryl Fernandez-Versini! The newly-wed wafted through an aisle of eager fans and journalists at London's Avenue restaurant in London last night, looking bridal-esque in a floor-sweeping Zuhair Murad gown adorned with lace panels and a thigh-high slit. Her new husband, Jean Bernard, was just moments behind, slipping through the crowds in a slick black suit.
The launch of Cheryl's first ever fragrance, Storm Flower, was certainly a glitzy occasion. Marvin Humes (of JLS fame) introduced the event on a purple stage adorned with two gold seats while water streamed from above. He welcomed 'Cheryl Fernandez-Versini!' who dished on the joys of creating her own scent.
Cheryl's long been planning to launch her own perfume, but with The X Factor and her solo career to juggle, she'd never found the right time - until now. 'Once I took a little bit of time off and was given the correct people to work with, it was the perfect time to do it,' she said.
In fact, it's been a life-long dream that's been brewing since she was a young girl. 'When I was a kid, I used to create perfume with my sister and we'd put rose petals in water and let them marinate for a few weeks,' Cheryl revealed. Unsurprisingly, it 'didn't smell too good!'
Storm Flower, on the other hand, promises to make a woman feel feminine and elegant. As Cheryl says it's about that 'fresh feeling when there's been a storm... I've always liked to smell fresh and clean and floral-y'. The accompanying video was shot by Rankin and sees Chezza showcasing her impressive dance moves (watch it above).
Of course, there was one ginormous elephant in the room: that whirlwind wedding. Marvin plucked up the courage to ask the question and you can watch Cheryl's response below...
