It seems to have been one of the coldest winters EVER and although spring is on it's way the temperatures are still icy. When your skin decides to rebel, it can be something of a wintery nightmare. The cold elements and central heating can wreak havoc on normally well-behaved complexions, and crank problem skin up to the max. Whether it's a full-blown breakout or some serious dehydration, you needn't panic - we've managed to grab some tips from industry pros, beauty bloggers and Grazia's own veteran beauty team to provide you with a guide for steering skin back to it's glowing, gorgeous self. 'I tend to have severe, flaky lips in the Winter especially when I'm outdoor. To protect my lips, I exfoliate my lips using a tooth brush (not the one you use for your teeth) with a dab of vaseline, rub gently in circular motion. For long lasting protection, I apply Elizabeth Arden Eight Hour Cream on my lips as an alternative to lip balm, and it works!'

Dispel all thoughts about greasy skin, oil will actually benefit your skin no matter what your skin type by helping to rebalance your natural oils as well as working on your wrinkles. However, if you just can’t get your head around oils, try Decleor’s Hydra Floral Flower Nectar Moisturing Cream, £39.50. It cleverly keeps skin hydrated throughout the day by drip-feeding moisture into your skin when it needs it! Genius.'

'Switch to a gentler skincare routine: avoid all products containing harsh ingredients such as benzoyl peroxide or too much salicylic acid which would be too drying. Stick to clean formulas such as the ones from REN Skincare. You may want to use the ClearCalm 3 range which gently looks after the skin’s ecosystem whilst mopping up excess sebum.
