We just can’t stop staring at the gorgeous Scarlett- with her hair loosely tied back off her face to highlight those serious cheekbones, we’ve never seen the blonde beauty looking quite so radiant. There’s just something about the black and white, too, which adds an old-school charm to the new ad campaigns for Dolce and Gabbana’s cult fragrance, The One. Liverpool Fashion Week Implements No Sunbed Rule

Today’s full beauty marks go to Liverpool Fashion Week. Why? Well brace yourselves ladies, as breaking news reaching Grazia HQ informs us that the city’s fashion week is banning models who use sunbeds in a bid to try and cut rates of skin cancer. Earlier this year, Liverpool was revealed as having epidemic levels of teenage girls illegally using sunbeds, with some girls going under the UV lights from as young as 13. In fact, 50% of 15-17 year olds in Liverpool have used sunbeds, compared to 11% nationally, so hats off to LFW for making such a bold beauty statement. Although the bronzed look was all over the catwalks at the SS14 shows (House of Holland, Topshop Unique and Preen to name a few), the organisers behind LFW, starting 14 October, are ready to show Liverpool that the faux glow can be achieved safely. As Amanda Moss, organiser of LFW explains, “We hope that by showing how gorgeous our models look at this year’s Fashion Week, we will help sunbed users in the city realise they don’t need to get on the beds to look great. Our girls can still have that golden glow, but they’ll get it from a bottle, not the beds.” Well Liverpool, you have team Grazia beauty’s full support- bring on the bottle, we say!

Well brace yourselves ladies, as January 2014 sees a serious beauty launch that promises to change all that. Breaking news reaching Grazia HQ informs us that nail legends OPI have teamed up with Gwen Stefani to launch a new nail collection with a punk twist, inspired by the 2013 Met Gala theme “Punk: Chaos To Couture”. Rock, on! We’ve got our beauty eyes on the bold red hue “Over and Over A-Gwen”, inspired by the pop starlet’s signature red lip. OPI’s Executive VP and Artistic Director Suzi Weiss-Fischmann said, “Gwen uses beauty to accessorize her style. OPI wanted to create a collection as dramatic, diverse and glamorous as its namesake.” Who said anything about January blues?

Us beauty ladies need no excuse for a spot of retail therapy, especially when it comes to beauty products, so you can imagine our utter glee when we found out that cult Japanese brand Shu Uemura have just unveiled a new flagship store just a stone’s throw away from Grazia HQ. What’s more, to celebrate the brand’s 30th birthday a new retail design concept has been incorporated into the store, offering customers the Shu Uemura service on a whole new level. With the beauty space now divided into different areas (get ready for ‘Shu Lash’, ‘Shu Skin’ and ‘Shu Brow’ stations) this really is one heck of a beauty experience you certainly don’t want to miss out on. Equinox Raises Awareness of Pilates Reformer This Breast Cancer Month

With Breast Cancer Awareness Month now in full swing, we were over the moon to hear that premier fitness club Equinox Kensington is raising awareness of the incredible benefits of Pilates Reformer following breast cancer surgery. Equinox Kensington offers Pilates reformer classes, the pro behind the Equinox class? None other than Jayne O’Brian, Pilates Reformer coordinator at Equinox who became an expert in how to combine Pilates and breast cancer recovery after training with the Pink Ribbon Programme. She says, “The exercise goals of Pilates Reformer are to reduce pain, improve range of movement and flexibility, regain strength and mobility and restore quality of life.” Jayne now creates bespoke exercise plans for survivors, taking into consideration surgery type, post-surgery therapy and the client’s history.
