No7 Teams Up With Children In Need
Michelle Dockery and Rachel Stevens go 'bear'-faced
It’s not often we see celebs make-up free, but this month sees some of our fave stars going au naturel all for the sake of a pretty amazing cause, literally. This year marks the second year that beauty buffs No7 have teamed up with Children In Need to take part in their Get Ready To Go BearFaced campaign, encouraging women to give make-up a break on Friday 8th November and to embrace their natural beauty, all whilst raising money for Children In Need. What’s more, to support the campaign, the likes of Suki Waterhouse, Michelle Dockery, Fiona Bruce and Rachel Stevens have gone make-up free and been shot by Rankin. Want to take part? It’s as easy as heading down to your local Boots store- with such an enormous range of skincare goodies, there really is something for every skin type, making your natural glow that little bit more gorgeous. Plus, with every £1 spent on No7 products from 1-9 November, a 5p donation will be made to BBC Children In Need. The best bit? Come November 8, participants are encouraged to swap their usual make-up for a simple Pudsey Bear paw print face transfer, available now in most post offices throughout the UK. We love!

Liz Earle Embarks On New Lifestyle Venture
Just when we thought beauty guru Liz Earle couldn’t possibly add another string to her bow, she astounds us yet again, with the launch of her new online venture, www.lizearlewellbeing.com, which she describes as ‘going back to her roots’. The new site encapsulates Liz’s passion for feeling good and looking good- a collection of information and advice on healthy living. What’s more, the website aims to educate readers about certain health-related issues. Take, for example, Liz’s first initiative, ‘Keep On The Grass’, a campaign to make us aware of what really is in our milk. We’ve long been fans of Liz Earle’s wonderfully natural and results-driven products so we’re bookmarking this new site pronto- and not just because we love the look of her recipe for pumpkin risotto.
Gwyneth Paltrow Stuns In Latest Max Factor Campaign
Max Factor is taking stock of its heritage and is celebrating some its most iconic looks and products. The latest campaign features Max Factors’ very own muse Gwyneth Paltrow transformed into modern interpretations of each era’s legendary starlets; Marilyn Monroe, Audrey Hepburn, Bridgette Bardot, Farrah Fawcett and Madonna. Wowsers- we cannot wait to see all the gorgeous looks! The first look sees Gwynnie channelling her inner 70s goddess a la Farrah Fawcett. To mark the extremely desirable look of the shoot, Max Factor has brought out a limited edition False Lash Effect Mascara, £10.99, complete with glam gold wrap packaging. This mascara enhances and fans out the eyelashes, so you can really embrace your Charlie Angel status to the MAX! Flutter, flutter girls- this is one for your AW make-up bag.
Jo Hansford And Aspinal Of London’s Exclusive Collaboration
It’s not often that two of London’s most luxe brands join forces, but when they do, we certainly can expect great things. Well, you’re sure in for a treat girls, as hair colour guru Jo Hansford has teamed up with luxury leather goods brand Aspinal of London to launch a super-cute, red leather carry case complete with a 15ml bottle of Jo Hansford’s cult product, Illuminoil. We’re not sure what we’re more excited about- the nifty bottle of our fave miracle oil or the uber-luxe travel pouch. Either way, we’ve marked the 1st November in our diaries- with only 50 limited edition cases available to purchase, this is the day the waiting list opens, so be sure to sign up by emailing email@example.com. Plus, with 20% of every sale going to the Pancreatic Cancer Research Fund (of which Jo Hansford is Patron), you’ve got every excuse for a beauty splurge.
Wax In The City- London’s Hottest New Beauty Joint
Founded over in Berlin back in 2005, Wax in the City has gained something of a cult status since its opening, guaranteeing a waxing experience like no other. Specialising in warm wax (no strips are ever used), and operating a walk-in service where appointments never need to be made in advance, there’s just something about the simple yet uber-efficient concept of WITC that’s got us beauty ladies seriously excited. The best bit? The wax bar has just opened up on London’s super-chic King’s Road. For more information visit www.wax-in-the-city.com. We’ll see you there!
Grace Belgravia Unveils Facial Acupuncture Programme
London’s exclusive women’s club Grace Belgravia has recently created its own Facial Acupuncture Programme. Intrigued? Read on. Created by Head of Spa Abigail James and acupuncturist Kate Winstanley, the programme is a 6 week programme designed to tackle anti-ageing and help the skin’s natural rejuvenating process. Although the whole needles idea did make a self-confessed needle phobic individual slightly apprehensive of the treatment, us beauty ladies can assure you it’s totally worth it. The needles, which are inserted locally into the face, stimulate and increase blood flow, oxygen and nutrients to the area, as well as encouraging the production of collagen. The result? A serious reduction in fine lines and a brighter, glowing complexion. We want. For more information visit www.gracebelgravia.com
Neville Hair And Beauty At The Bulgari
When it comes to our little black book of beauty addresses, Neville Hair and Beauty is top of our luxe list. Known for their stellar blowdries and seriously pampering treatments, it’s no wonder the likes of Natalie Portman and Elle Macpherson are regulars. So, you can imagine our utter glee when we heard the news that Neville were launching a new salon in London’s Bulgari Hotel earlier this month. The salon is only three weeks old so really is one of the city’s hottest beauty addresses. What’s more, the gurus behind the brand have just unveiled the WOW treatment, guaranteed, as they say, to take you “from mere mortal to super woman in an instant”! This nifty, hour-long treatment includes a brand-new hair treatment, a classic Neville’s blow-dry as well as a deluxe mani and pedi with leg drainage massage to boot. As Neville Tucker himself says, “For knockout hair, a fantastic blow-dry is a necessity.” Well, we’re ready for some serious WOW treatment. Are you? For more information click here.
