Backstage Beauty: The Top 8 New Launches We Discovered At This Season’s Shows

1. Burberry Nail Polish in Elderberry

Backstage at Burberry Prorsum, we fell head over heels for the new collection of nail colours which were designed to complement the rich, luxurious hues and textures of the clothes. Our fave? This deep burgundy shade- currently available at The Burberry Beauty Box in Covent Garden. But hurry! This shade is only available for a limited time before officially launching in August.

2. Neutral Hues At PPQ

Part of the super-cute, 3-tiered scallop nails at PPQ was Ciate’s brand-spanking new porcelain effect shade ‘Poppet’, which hit stores only last month. With sales of nude lipsticks and polishes on the up, we’re predicting a sell-out for this gorgeously wearable hue.

3. Orly At Michael Van Der Ham

Potentially one of the prettiest manicures we spied during London Fashion week was this stunning pastel crème and shimmery silver duo created by Orly lead nail technician Jenni Draper. The pastel blue? No less than brand new Orly ColorBlast in Violet Pastel, and the super-cool disco ball, half-moon crescent is Orly ColorBlast Silver Chrome Foil, both out in May. We want!

4. MAC Forecast Palette At Jean Pierre Braganza

Season in, season out, MAC release their super-cute, palette edit of the latest hues. Out on March 27th, the latest offering includes shades Coquettish, Dusty Mauve and Crushed Cranberry- use on both cheeks and lips.

5. Moroccan Oil Volumising Mousse At Temperley

We got very excited backstage at Temperley when we caught sight of a new Moroccan Oil product being used to create the models’ gorgeous plaits. Just launched, this clever mousse not only smells delicious but will add plenty of volume and hold to boot.

6. Butter London’s Backstage Basics

Hectic schedules, running around like a maniac between shows and early, early starts are only bound to make for some seriously stressed-out model skin. Thank heavens for Butter London’s latest offerings which were on-hand at Marios Schwab to soothe dry skin and ragged cuticles. Out now!

7. Textured Hair At Sibling

We spied the ultimate in tousled, textured hair over at Sibling, where hair guru Syd Hayes was using new L’Oreal Volume Excess Hair Spray, £4.00 to add some serious hold and volume to the girls’ hair as they hit the runway. A new season must-have.

8. St Tropez Self Tan Luxe Dry Oil at Mary Katrantzou

Over at super-cool Mary Katrantzou, we spied un-marked bottles of a deliciously bronzed oil which was used to transform the models’ limbs into goddess-worthy heights. Only now do we know that it was St Tropez’s new Self Tan Luxe Dry Oil- already a beauty editor staple. Stock up now!

There really is no better place to discover next season’s beauty trends than backstage at the shows at Fashion Week. From New York to London to Milan to Paris, us Grazia beauty ladies spent our time backstage at the shows scouring through make-up artists’ beauty bags, chatting to the pros and carefully analysing every teensy detail of their technique

. Apart from picking up a fair few tips along the way (such as your favourite lipstick can actually double up as an amazing blusher- apply with your fingers!) we couldn’t help but get excited by the array of brand-spanking new beauty products we spied being used by the industry’s finest experts. Fashion week is the place where hair, make-up and nail artists experiment with new products.
