Introducing the new face of Givenchy... Alicia Keys! The singer - who's never appeared in a beauty ad before - is fronting a campaign for the brand's newest fragrance Dahlia Divin.
Shot by Tim Walker, the promo photo and TV advert show Alicia with her hair's slicked behind her ears, sporting smouldering smokey eyeshadow. She looks like a total goddess in a shimmering golden gown designed by Riccardo Tisci.
While she's previously worked with Reebok and Blackberry, this is the first time Alicia's teamed up with a beauty brand - and the move is thanks to her friendship with the designer. Riccardo met Alicia when they worked together on a look for a series of shows celebrating the 10th anniversary of her first album.

'Spiritually we’re a lot alike. The fashion world can make you a little soulless. So when I met him, it was nice to see that he’s really soulful,' she says. 'I love what Givenchy is about. Givenchy is this timeless, chic, but very strong woman, but with an edgier, almost street feel. I love that she’s raw, but she’s powerful — and that’s who I believe I am, too.'
The singer tells WWD that she wishes there was more diversity in the beauty industry.
'I would like to see different representations of what beauty is. I’d like to see women with a little more voluptuousness,' she says. 'There’s no way in the world that we’re all a size 2, and people beat themselves up if they’re not small enough or light enough or dark enough or skinny enough.
'The biggest mistake is to think that beauty is physical. Beauty is so internal, and it’s about who you are and what you believe in, what you stand for.'
Not only does Alicia appear in the ads, she also wrote the soundtrack for the TV clip. Parfums Givenchy’s global president Thierry Maman explains that the brand decided to work with her because of her worldwide appeal: 'As a brand, we are aristocratic, charming, witty. Alicia has all of these values and is a classic woman, like Audrey Hepburn.'
