In Hollywood, it's all about the details. When you have the paparrazi snapping every inch of you from every angle imaginable, no stone can be left unturned in your beauty regime. Which is why nails are never an afterthought for the A-List - in fact, being a manicurist with flair can make you seriously hot propety in Tinseltown. One of our favourites (and not to mention half of the red carpet's) is Tom Bachik. Witty, warm and personable, Tom is in more snaps with his clientele than you can shake a selfie stick at, and he gives one heck of a good mani.

J.Lo's clearly a fan of pointed talons - this glittery wine-red tone is sophisticated and fun.
Tom's regular clients include Jennifer Lopez and Jennifer Aniston, and he was responsible for glamming them both up for the Golden Globes, as well as working with models like Heidi Klum for events and behind the scenes for magazine shoots. But, there's more to this nail supremo than meets the eye - not only is he happily married with a wife and kids, he's a big fan of er, skateboarding.
Tom started life as a Californian skater boy, transitioning only over to nails when his wife told him how much celebrity manicurists could make. While still liking to skate in his free time, Tom's more often than not found working on the talons of Victoria Beckham and Fergie - he even did the nails for Beyonce's 'Why Don't You Love Me?' video.
Tom told InStyle US of his two regulars “Jennifer Aniston is more classic and Old Hollywood glam, so she loves solid colors. We play with different types of nudes, and we’ll custom-mix shades that work best with her skin tone...******With JLo, it’s different every day! I work with her stylist and Jenn will give a basic direction, so we do a lot of collaborating to create that look. She’s always up for trying something new, and looks for us to bring that to her as well.”
As well as being a deft bespoke polish colour creator, Tom devises subtle ways to get nail art on the red carpet, like the gemstones he glued under J.Lo's nails for the Golden Globes. We're obsessed with his Instagram feed, where he updates constantly with new looks he's designed - not to mention cute snaps of his families and selfies with the A-List.
