White make-up might sound like a tricky trend to try, which is why we're here to lend some beauty inspiration. Click through the gallery above where you'll find a host of fabulous looks from the Spring Summer 2014 shows to get you started.
Zac Posen, for one, proved that white eyeliner is as timeless as ever. The models echoed 1960s icon Twiggy with a white rim on the inner of the bottom eyelid to define and widen the eye while pale eyeshadow was swept on the eyelid to contrast with a slick of black eyeliner. Meanwhile models at Altuzarra, Dolce and Gabbana and Julien Macdonald flaunted their fresh faces with the help of a touch of white.
It's the perfect way to highlight facial features and brighten the eye area, even if you haven't had eight hours sleep. Just a simple dot of white eyeshadow in the corner of the eye immediately illuminates and softens the face. Take a look at the David Koma look, which used white eyeshadow as the base to make the electric blue eyeliner really pop.
Masha Ma and Maria Correjo experimented with a more artistic patterned eye for those who feel slightly more adventurous and Yamamoto took the white eyeshadow trend to the extreme by sleeking the eyebrows with a white coating too. Not for the faint hearted, folks.
But the white trend doesn't stop at makeup. White Tipp-ex nails were all the rage at Band of Outsiders and Prabal Gurung while Todd Flynn demonstrated 'less is more' with a single coat of white nail lacquer for a glossy finish.
