What's Inside Makeup Artist Louise Young's Makeup Bag?

If you’ve had chance to pick up the latest issue of Grazia you will have been treated to the hottest beauty tips around this summer, thanks to the Grazia beauty team and their treasure trove of insider secrets. You will also have been able to take a look through the fabulous award winning products from this year’s Grazia Summer Beauty Awards.

We were sure this would leave you craving even more exclusive beauty tips, so we caught up with renowned makeup artist Louise Young to see which items will be gracing the inside of her makeup bag this summer.

Louise has been working in the makeup industry for over 30 years, turning her hand to film, fashion, television and theatre. She has cast her beauty professional still further this year with the launch of her own cosmetics range, which joins the fabulous brush range that launched back in 2006 (look out for a concealer trio launching soon!). Now that’s what we call multi-tasking!

With such a wealth of experience behind this lady, we couldn’t wait to take a peek inside her makeup bag…

Louise Young Cosmetics Essential Eye Shadow Palette, £30.00: I can create so many different looks with this, from very natural to smoky dramatic eyes. It’s a very slim line palette that fits easily in my bag.

Louise Young Cosmetic Eye Shadow Brushes, from £9.00: I use the LY38A Tapered Shadow Brush, LY39 Domed Shadow Brush, LY24A Superfine Liner and the LY16 Eye Shadow Sable 3.

Kryolan Cake Eyeliner in Black, £3.99: This is an old school cake liner which is applied by wetting the liner brush with water first.  It creates a perfect sleek line.

Max Factor Clump Defy Volumising Mascara, £7.99: This is a new mascara but all Max Factor mascaras are great. I love the curved wand on this one.

Paul & Joe Creamy Cheek Powder, £18.50: This is a cream blush that gives a lovely natural sheen.

Shu Uemura Eyelash Curler, £20.00: These are the best eyelash curlers I have come across.

Ben Nye Banana Powder, £8.15: I don't wear foundation but sometimes I put a light dusting of this on my skin to remove shine and give a great finish.

Boots 17 Lasting Fix Lipstick, £4.29: It stays on all day which is perfect as I don't have time to keep reapplying whilst I’m working.

Elemis Pro Collagen Marine Cream, £79.00: This moisturiser is really light and sinks in easily.

Violight Slim Sonic Toothbrush: I recently bought it from Fenwick Bond Street, its perfect for travelling.
