As you well know by now, snooping inside the make-up bags of some of the industry’s top experts is one of our fave pastimes. Our second favourite pastime (aside from scoffing a homemade carrot cake, of course) is no less than ogling over amazing beauty blogs. Over the past few weeks we’ve become totally obsessed with make-up artist Harriet Hadfield and her stellar new blog with awesome beauty You Tube channel to boot. We’re loving Harriet’s ‘How To’ series- a great way to really get to grips with those oh-too-familiar beauty conundrums- how to apply glitter eyeshadow, coral lipstick, etc. What’s more, having worked with the likes of Rita Ora, Cara Delevingne and Alexandra Burke, we reckon this lovely lady sure knows a thing or two about beauty. Read on to find all about the products Harry simply couldn’t be without…
Origins Plantscription SPF 15 Anti-Ageing Foundation, £29.50: This feels really moisturising and creates a nice base that falls somewhere in-between satin and slightly dewy, which I always think makes skin look younger and fresher.
Collection 2000 Lasting Perfection Concealer, £4.19: This is such a great drugstore concealer, with fantastic coverage and such a great price point. I have one in every handbag! Also great for touch-ups throughout the day.
Laura Mercier Eye basics in Flax, £20.50: This makes eyelids look fresh and clean, removing pigmentation to the lid and any veins.
Clinique Cream Brush-On Cream Liner in Black Honey, £16: This is my staple piece that I wear nearly every day- it’s a subtle shimmery chocolate brown, so a bit softer than black for every day. The Clinique liners are great as they never dry out! I wear mine in a thick feline flick along my top lash line.
Max Factor Clump Defy Volumising Mascara, £10.99: Another budget buy that never lets me down!
Suqqu Eyebrow Liquid Pen in Brown, £20: This product is so natural looking and because it’s waterproof you don't have to worry about your brows disappearing by the end of the day, and a staple in my kit too!
Daniel Sandler Luxury Matte Lipstick in Marilyn, £13.25: I only recently discovered these lipsticks and despite being matte these don't dry out your lips compared to some other matte lipsticks and the colours are gorgeous. I like the shade Marilyn for a quick face brightener.
Nars Blusher in Orgasm, £21.50: One of the best ‘suit-all’ blushers! As soon as I put this on my skin looks awake.
MAC Eye Pencil in Coffee, £14: This is so blendable, I wear it smudged into my lower waterline with my Clinique liner along my top lash line to create a soft brown smoky liner look.
Chanel Illusion D'ombre in Ebloui, £24: This is a beautiful rusty red shade I like if I fancy a speedy smoky eye that stays put.
