The Secret Formula Behind Emma Stone’s Red Carpet Beauty Looks

Emma Stone unveils her new choppy fringe, 24 April (Getty)

To say that Emma Stone is having a moment is a huge understatement. The natural blonde-turned-fiery redhead has been causing quite the stir on the Grazia beauty desk over the last few weeks and has become our official spring beauty crush. Out and about promoting her new flick The Amazing Spiderman 2, Emma has been racking up an impressive repertoire of hair and make-up looks on the red carpet and has just topped off the tour with a seriously gorgeous fringe (see above). Although this isn't the first time we've seen Emma with a blunt fringe, we're totally loving her fresh look, adding some serious fuel to our beauty crush.

As well as being a serious fashion darling (Stone is a regular on best-dressed lists), it’s Emma’s beauty prowess that’s got us all in a frenzy. The Revlon global brand ambassador isn’t afraid to try out edgy eye-liner styles, different hair colours, bold lip colours and not to mention those impressively glossy tresses. In short, Emma is our ultimate red-carpet beauty trailblazer. Want to know her updated beauty formula? Read on and learn…

1. Take inspiration from the catwalk

Being the epitome of femininity, us beauty girls were over the moon when we caught sight of Emma’s masculine-inspired look earlier last month. Taking inspiration from the YSL SS14 catwalk, the fiery redhead didn’t hesitate to fully embrace this on-trend look. With a deep side parting, not a hair out of place and a super-sleek, grey smoky eye, this is further proof of our beauty crush.

2. Don’t be afraid to try out edgier eye make-up looks

Ok, so we know you can’t go wrong with the classic smoky eye, but sometimes it pays to try out something a little different. Case in point? Emma’s incredible reverse feline flick and that bold green eye-liner she wore out in Singapore a few weeks ago. We totally love how Emma’s alternative make-up choices make her look bang on-trend and add a little personality to boot.

3. Match your lipstick to your blush

Once upon a time in the kingdom of beauty, colour co-ordinating, matchy-matchy beauty looks were a BIG no-no. However, take note of Emma’s matching lipstick and blusher and you’ll realise that this is actually a super-cute way to keep your look fresh and glowing. The right shade will make your skin look bright and polished. We’re sold.

4. Invest in a matte bold lipstick

As the new face of Revlon, we can only imagine Emma gets to try out a whole host of exciting make-up and we give her matte lipstick our full beauty marks. Want in? Stock up on Revlon’s ColorBurst Lacquer Balms. At only £7.99 each and available in a gorgeous array of colours, the only problem you’ll have is deciding which one to go for.

5. Get a sweeping side fringe

Emma’s got her hair formula sorted too. Take note of her side-swept fringe, which is perfect for heart-shaped faces like Emma’s. We also suggest you take serious note of Stone’s repertoire of chic, mid-length cuts. Cute, casual and effortlessly tousled, this is the length us beauty girls are coveting for spring.

6. Mix it up by adding some detail to your side fringe

7. Don’t be a slave to fake tan

Listen up, fellow pale-skinned beauties as pale is interesting, we promise. Don’t be a slave to the fake tan this summer and stick with what works for you. If anything, a creamy, radiant complexion will totally make your glossy hair pop, a la Emma Stone…
