Every little girl is guilty of creeping into their mummy's makeup bag at some point and trying on some red lippie and slapping some pink stuff on their cheeks, but not Harper Beckham. As Victoria Beckham has revealed that she keeps a close eye on the little cutey's beauty habits and bans her from trying on her mummy's makeup. VB never ever applies makeup in front of the toddler as part of her 'glam ban.'
VB said to The Sun that she doesn't want Harper experimenting with makeup anytime soon, as she said 'I can’t put on make-up when Harper’s around, because she would join me immediately. She is a tomboy towards her brothers.' So we're not going to see Harper Beckham the mini pageant queen any time soon then.
You might remember that Suri Cruise raised some eyebrows when she stepped out with a deep red lipstick and mini heels when she was just FIVE. Plus Heidi Klum's 2-year-old daughter Lou and 8-year-old daughter Leni sported red pouts back in 2012. Harper certainly has the shoe collection to take on Suri in the style stakes, so you might expect the same from a VB offspring.
But Victoria would rather baby Becks be a tomboy, than a lipstick wearing two year old. It seems Posh is ready for when Harps ditches the Burbs for the football kit, as she said to French ELLE: 'If she turns out to be a tomboy - with three brothers, it can happen. I'll be okay with that.' What do you think? Should little girls be banned from rummaging through their makeup bag?
In the interview VB explained that she wants her children to enjoy their time as children and not grow up too fast as she said: 'After Christopher Bailey had spoken to me, I asked [Romeo] if he wanted to do it and he said, 'Sure, sounds like fun'. And he had a lot of fun - he doesn't take himself too seriously. Will he do it again? I don't know. He's more interested in school and sports right now.'
VB added: 'The kids are under a lot of pressure to perform and I don't want to pressure them. [I want them to be] keen and reach as much as possible, but the most important thing is that they are happy.'
Harper might be banned from borrowing her mum's lipstick, but the little poppet still wins in the beauty world, as she was recently crowned with the most stylish child's hair. Take a look at her award winning locks in the gallery below...
