1. The New Brow

Thanks to Cara, the bold brow is showing no signs of disappearing any time soon. However, this season’s brow is a totally different ball game. As Sharon Dowsett explains, “The arch of the brow has been knocked out this season to give a stronger, straighter effect. You can forget matching your brow pencil to your natural hair colour- now it’s all about a dark or even black shade.”

2. Cat-Eyes

Time to stock up on liquid liner? Yep, we think so! The stunning feline flick is showing no signs of dying down any time soon. A gorgeous look for sultry nights.

3. Natural Nails

OK, so a nude nail might not stop traffic but us beauty ladies are such fans of super-sophisticated neutral tones. There’s just something about a perfectly groomed, pale nail that is not only super-chic but universally flattering too as these hues really look great on shorter nails too. Come SS14, this look is all about it keeping it simple with a killer top coat. Seen at the likes of Holly Fulton, Herve Leger, Matthew Williamson and Vera Wang, this really is one gorgeous look. Our top tip? Arm yourself with Dior’s Gel Coat, £18 for a mirror-like finish.

4. Orange Lips

We spotted orange pouts everywhere, literally- from Nanette Lepore to Donna Karan to Prabal Gurung, we’re totally loving this bright pop of colour on our lips for spring-time. To get the look at DNKY (shown) makeup artists mixed Maybelline’s Color Sensational Vivids Lipstick in Electric Orange and Neon Red on the backs of their hands and then blotted for a slightly matte finish.

5. Straight Hair

Dig out your straighteners, girls, as straight hair is back big time! Just remember to use a good heat protection spray to minimise damage. Poker straight? You read it here first.

6. Blue Eyes

“This blue is electric!” said Maybelline UK make-up director Sharon Dowsett, and we couldn’t agree more. Seen at the likes of Marc by Marc Jacobs and David Koma, this is a serious pop of colour that suits every skin tone.

7. Glowing Skin

Who wouldn’t want gorgeously glowing skin come the new season? But hey, if you weren’t blessed with supermodel genes then you’ll be pleased to hear that a gleaming complexion is pretty easy to fake. At Philip Lim, skin was given an amazing glow via a mix of NARS Pure Radiant Tinted Moisturiser and Copacabana Liquid Illuminator. We love!

8. Radiant Orchid

It’s safe to say that mauve is definitely having its moment. Not only have Pantone just unveiled Radiant Orchid as the official colour for 2014, but the models at PPQ were seen sporting a bold mauve eye and over at Rochas, a soft wash of lilac really lifted the complexion. Want in? Try Maybelline’s Color Tattoo in Endless Purple, £4.99 for a pretty wash of colour than can easily be built up.

9. Matte Nails

Although us beauty ladies love a glossy, manicured nail, there’s just something pretty edgy about a matte mani, too, plus they were seen at the likes of Antonio Berardi and Sophia Webster. Stock up on Mavala’s Color-Matte Top Coat, £11. Our top tip? Try a two textured French manicure- paint half the nail matte to create an awesome 2D effect.

10. Black Headbands

There’s nothing more us beauty ladies love than a super-simple yet effective hairstyle, so we can’t wait to try out the black hairband look seen at Victoria Beckham. Black jersey headbands are super-chic but make yours leather and studded a la Valentino for a luxe party finish.
