Debauched Debutantes At House Of Holland

We’re not sure what we loved more here- the amazing retro burgundy and fuschia French manicure or the stunning inky green smoky eye. Either way, we were totally smitten and cannot wait to get involved next season. Stay tuned ladies, as makeup artist Lucia Pica told us that “green is the new black”. You read it here first girls!

‘Winter Dew’ Fresh Skin At Mark Fast

Skin got beautiful backstage at Mark Fast where Bare Minerals makeup artist Sarah Jane Froom was busy transforming the girls into raw, fresh, natural beauties. With just a stain on the lips and soft brows, this look was all about letting your inner radiance shine. We love!

Boxy Blue Liner At Temperley

We fell head over heels for all the gorgeousness backstage at Temperley where makeup artist Lisa Eldridge was busy creating stunning blue feline flicks on the model’s eyelids (topped off with navy blue mascara of course). The best bit came courtesy of Malcolm Edwards’ amazing plaits which were loose, effortless and totally stunning. We love!

Deep Side Partings At Emilio De La Morena

Super sleek and with oodles of shine, this deep side parting at Emilio de la Morena certainly caught our eye. Leigh Keates, Global Creative Director for Cloud Nine gave us his top tip- “Apply oil over particularly dry areas to encourage shine.”

Stained Glass Eyes At Julien Macdonald

Late on Saturday evening, we headed down to the Royal Courts of Justice for Julien Macdonald’s show and were over the moon to see that the cathedral-esque setting was being reflected in the dramatic makeup look. Makeup maestro Val Garland told us, “Julien is thinking iconic, religious and about the idea of stained glass and the New Romantics.” Totally gorgeous and we love how the colour was washed right up through the brow.

Effortless Hair At Mary Katrantzou

Backstage at Mary Katrantzou, we caught up with hairdresser supreme Anthony Turner for L’Oreal Professionnel who explained that this “mermaid” wave was “effortless but never over the top”. Anthony prepped the model’s hair with L’Oreal Professionnel Tecni Art Pli, [a target="_blank" href="">£13[/a], gave the girls a centre parting and set it with one-inch curling tongs. The secret to such soft waves? “Simply brush through the tonged hair and then press the tong against each indentation to render the waves more defined.” Finish with lashings of Mythic Oil, [a target="_blank" href="">£13.95 [/a]for the ultimate glossy finish.

80s Gloss At Matthew Williamson

Lisa Eldridge was working her makeup magic backstage at Matthew Williamson- a glossy plum lip combined with a burnished bronze eye. With inspiration coming from 80s heavyweights Bianca Jagger and Jerry Hall, this was one seriously sultry look.

The Midas Touch At Antipodium

We couldn’t take our eyes off the gorgeous models backstage at Antipodium. With a slick of gold across their eyelids and ‘deconstructed houndstooth’ patterns on their nails (courtesy of ORLY Nails) these beauties really did shine on…

70s chic at Paul Smith

MAC make-up artist Petros Petrohilos described this look as “worn-in from the night before.” Eyes were washed with Electric Cool and Purple Dash liner was applied at the bottom outer lashline close to the rim. The result? A super smudgy effect that really made the skin and eyes pop. We also spied Petros applying a little face oil to lids and cheekbones for a really youthful and dewy finish.

Sophia Webster’s Hyper-Real Rich Girl

There was a LOT of pink behind the scenes at Sophia Webster on Sunday morning, that’s for sure! With glossy French manicures and perfectly polished, sugary pink eyes and lips, this is one 90s throwback (hello, Clueless!) that we cannot wait to try out next season. Think super-cute, polished chic.

London Fashion Week has spoken, girls- and we’ve spent our weekend behind the scenes at pretty much every show getting the full 411 on all of next season’s hottest trends. Fuelled by many a coconut water (and several brownies) we chatted to makeup, nail and hair artists galore to discover all the secrets behind all the latest looks. Want to know our top 10? Read on and learn girls, read on and learn…
