The 5 Things That We Loved Backstage At New York Fashion Week: Day 3

10 February 2014 by

With a line up including Victoria Beckham, DKNY, Thakoon and DVF we were raring to get our backstage on for day three. Meet our best moments right here…

1. New York! New York!

Rules went out of the window in the backstage area at DKNY where a 50-strong casting of models, street-castings, and interesting New York characters were transformed into the best versions of their individual selves by a hair hero Eugene Souleiman and face painter Yadim.

2. The moment Victoria Beckham got her eyelashes Max Factored

At the long awaited Victoria Beckham show word on the beauty vine was that the lady herself had left her lashes at home. Luckily, Max Factor came to the rescue with one of their new illusion mascaras. Way to go, Max Factor!

3. Well-heeled

At Thakoon we fell not just for the NARS aubergine eyeliner gracing model’s lower lids, but also for these perfectly formed black booties which we feel will be a worthy addition to our upcoming autumn/winter 2014 wardrobe. Yes we know it's a while off but we're nothing if not organised, right?

4. Denim for your hair...

Forget pastel pink and purple dip-dyes, the New York crowd are enjoying a lusty love affair with washed-out denim hued hair. Tempted to trial it? Go on we dare you.

5. Ballet Beauties

It was a starry situation backstage at DVF yesterday with Jourdan Dunn, Karlie Kloss and Karen Elson all taking to the catwalk for the designer. The beauty mood? None other than the Ballet Russe. Think creamy flawless skin and worn-in ballet buns. "These are ballet dancers on their downtime," explained makeup maestro James Kaliardos. Too cute!
