Rihanna Is Living La Viva Glam For MAC As Brand Spokesperson

It's been almost a year since we first brought you the news that Rihanna had joined the likes of Lady Gaga, Nicky Minaj and Iris Apfel in adding 'beauty guru' to her ever-growing list of accolades with the release of four collections unveiled throughout 2013, the last of which we THOUGHT was the RiRi ♥ MAC Holiday collection which launches on December 5th. But it appears RiRi isn't going anywhere anytime soon, with news that Rihanna will be the next spokesperson for the brand's Viva Glam lipstick campaign. 

Donating 100% of the proceeds from the lipstick to AIDS research, the iniative has already raised over $250 Million for the MAC AIDS fund, which makes it way easier to justify buying one in each and every single colour, right? Rihanna joins spokespeople the likes of Nicki Minaj, Lady Gaga and Pamela Anderson, making her a natural choice for a campaign which is now famous for celebrating big, bold stars that inspire women to lead colorful lives.

Rihanna previously told WWD, “When you think of makeup, the brand that pops into your mind — for something legit — is MAC. Whatever colour you want, it’s like ‘Let’s go to MAC.’ I’ve been using MAC on tour for such a long time it was a natural fit for me. I have always loved makeup, and I always said that if I do it, I want to do it with a credible brand.”

And it seems the feeling is mutual. “We always say that MAC likes to go on a date but doesn’t really want to go into a relationship,” said John Demsey, group president of the Estée Lauder, MAC’s parent company. “This relationship with Rihanna is a long-term one." And boy are we happy about that! Happy shopping, ladies.

The collection is set to hit stores in January 2014.
