Millie Mackintosh On Her Engagement Manicure And Wedding Day Beauty: EXCLUSIVE

'I'm so happy!' Millie Mackintosh told us when we grabbed a chat with her earlier today. 'I'm just over the moon and completely in a dream.' In case you hadn't heard, the Made In Chelsea star got engaged to her beau Professor Green on Monday night after he popped the question in Paris. We wanted to wish the lovely lady our congratulations and, of course, grill her on how her beauty regime will change now that there's a Big Day looming. Here are her beauty thoughts...

'How lucky that I'd had my nails done!'

I was wearing a beige Shellac manicure [on proposal night] and although I'd never filed my nails in a pointed shape before, I took inspiration from Rosie [Fortescue]. It's also the first time I've worn a nude nail colour, which I'd always thought would look gross but actually elongates your fingers and is really elegant.

'I'll be sticking to classic manicures'

The Perfect Ten team come to my house which is really handy. I'm tempted to go for a crazy nail art design like little hearts! But typically, I like classic nails and a French manicure looks stunning with an engagement ring. I'll be sticking to baby pinks or if I want a stronger colour, dark browns or reddy-purples.

'I can't stop looking at my hands!'

The ring draws attention to my hands so I need to keep them in tip-top condition. I've been coating them in a thick layer of lotion before I go to bed and they're really soft by morning.

'More than ever, all eyes are on me'

Obviously on the wedding day but also in the build up to it, people will be looking at me. My skin suffers when I've had too much alcohol and sugary foods and I want my skin to look the best it ever will. The worst thing that could happen is having a breakout on the Big Day! So I'll have twice-weekly face masks and I'm a fan of double-cleansing for a deep clean. I use Manuka Doctor's ApiNourish Restoring Night Cream (£24.99, 50ml) in the evening and ApiClear's Foaming Cleanser (£16.99) after using the ApiNourish Hydrating Cleanser (£19.99, 100ml) to remove my makeup. I love Manuka Doctor's Rejuvenating Face Mask (£49.99, 50ml) which is perfect to put on when you're in the bath with rose-scented oils and a Moroccan Oil hair mask. There's so many things to think about but this is the one time in my life that it's all about me so I'll make sure I get lots of 'me time'.

'My wedding makeup will be very natural'

I'm not a fan of wearing a smokey eye on your wedding day so I'll just enhance everything that I have naturally. I'll wear false eyelashes and have glowy skin with a bit of contouring but I would never wear heavy makeup. I'll be going to my friend Tanya Burr for advice and products, especially because she's engaged too.

'I'm considering wedding day hair extensions'

While I'll do my own makeup on the day, I'll have someone else doing my hair. I'll consider extensions just so I can achieve a particular look for the day. I occasionally wear clip-in extensions when I want more volume because I find it hard to grow my hair and the longer it gets, the thinner it is. But I haven't decided on the style yet because it depends on the dress. I haven't let myself think about what I'll wear yet because I'm just enjoying the feeling of being engaged.

'I want Jennifer Aniston arms!'

I need to start my wedding diet, but it's not about losing weight, it's about toning and looking after myself. It's going to be difficult though with the amount of people who want to celebrate the engagement! For me, celebrating is all about having macaroons, cocktails and cakes so it could be tricky.

'The dress hunt is what I'm most excited about'

I haven't started looking for the dress yet because I want to do it with my family and friends. I do have an idea of what I want, but I'm not going to say!

Ooh, what a tease! Check out Millie's best beauty moments in the gallery below...
