Inside Abigail's make-up bag

Bach’s Rescue Remedy, £9.99: You just never know when a “moment” is going to take your calm away or even that of a colleague you might be with... beauty is in calmness!

Liz Earle Superskin Concentrate, £40.50: I do love a good face oil and have done for years. A hydrated skin makes makeup sit better, it also doubles up as a makeup remover if you’ve been caught short on a night out or need to pack light when traveling. It’s also fab at taking off eye makeup and the perfect next morning perk up.

Inika Mineral Foundation, £27.50: I love using minerals on my face and Inika is my favourite. The powders are so pure and look very natural- I use this all over my face.

bareMinerals READY Bronzer, £24: This is great as it doesn’t clog the skin and is perfect to add a touch of summer glow to the skin.

bareMinerals Shimmer Eyecolour in True Gold, £14: I can’t go without a bit of gold sparkle on the eyes and at the moment I’m using this gorgeous Bare Minerals True Gold.

Chanel Les 4 Ombres Quadra Eye-Shadow in Mystic Eyes, £38: These are amazing palettes- I get a new one every year. I love this one as it has a really dark smokey grey for amazing eyes and also a pale soft pink with some in-between smudgy colours for blending.

bareMinerals Round The Clock Waterproof Eyeliner, £13: This has a touch of sparkle to it and really does last all day. Again, it’s mineral based so a bit kinder and cleaner than others and is great for sensitive eyes too.

The Organic Pharmacy Organic Glam Liquid Eyeliner, £17.95: I’ve been using this for years- great for a slicker look in the evening.

MAC Creamsheen Lipstick in On Hold, £15: I seem to pick up my MAC in airports between trips. I found this colour last year and it really has become a bit of an obsession. It does get lost in bottoms of bags, pockets and does cause momentary heart palpitations. I might need an extra dose of the back flower remedy if I lost this!

Le Labo Labdanum 18, £105: Beauty is all about how you feel and smell to me is all part of that. I have been wearing Labdanum for years and this is definitely my scent. It’s soft, strong, feminine, sexy and vulnerable all rolled into one. My children say it smells of me!

Paracetamol: An absolute beauty essential! After a night out, morning after, time of the month, friend in need, colleague in distress- you’ve got to be there to ease the pain!
