Cara For Burberry Beauty-A Signature Wendy Nude Look
Grazia Daily: Why have you decided to reveal the secrets behind your signature style?
Wendy Rowe: My style is all about making women look gorgeous - and nudes look great on everyone, so this is an achievable look for all women. All women want to look beautiful - I'm a woman, I want to look beautiful! - so why not reveal how to create this look and help women feel good about themselves. Everyone should have the chance to feel beautiful.
Grazia Daily: Do you think this look works particularly well on certain skin tones or is it a universal look?
Wendy Rowe: It's universal and suits everyone. Obviously the products will be different for each skin tone - it's about choosing products that are natural for your personal skin tone (darker skins need darker products that have more depth in them, but they will look natural on them, for example), so knowing what's right to create a nude look for you.
Grazia Daily: If you could pick one key product behind this look, what would it be?
Wendy Rowe: A great contouring product - I love Burberry Light Glow in Earthy. Sculpting the face is key to this look, and you can really shape the face and create depth by contouring. It's a secret that makes everyone look better.
Grazia Daily: What’s the most common mistake women make when trying to recreate this look?
Wendy Rowe: Most women take nudes too literally and make themselves look washed out by choosing shades that are too pale for them. It's all about finding the right nudes for your skin tone, and you need to put colour into your cheeks and mouth.
Grazia Daily: How can this look be updated for the evening?
Wendy Rowe: A nude look looks great in the evening! It's really modern and cool, and looks gorgeously understated. If you really feel like you need to add more for evening, just add more mascara and a little eyeliner to give it a different feel.
Grazia Daily: What’s one beauty trend you think we should embrace for A/W?
Wendy Rowe: Glowing skin - women often forget about their skin in winter and use products that are more dull and dark, but glowing skin looks great in winter too.
