London College of Fashion’s First London Fashion Week Show: Backstage Preview

Inside the LCF MA pre-show beauty test

Some of the fashion industries biggest names, including JW Anderson, Jimmy Choo, William Tempest and Charlotte have passed through the doors of the London College of Fashion, so we beauty gals were super excited when we heard the news that the school would be debuting their first ever MA show at fashion week this season. And we’re not alone; “Moving the MA Show to coincide with London Fashion Week is a significant step in the development of our postgraduate offer and signals the coming of age of our MA programmes which are consistently providing some of the industry’s most talented fashion designers and professionals,” explained Professor Frances Corner, Pro-Vice Chancellor at London College of Fashion. Whoop.

After a very rigorous judging process, ten of the MA students were chosen to feature in the first show which is set to take place at the Royal Opera House tonight.  Yesterday we were invited to head down to the pre-show make-up test to check out the backstage beauty look created by makeup artist Andrew Gallimore and session stylist Kenna at the debut show.

Kenna and Andrew Gallimore hard at work

Over in beauty Grazia fave Andrew conjured up beautiful, fresh natural, wintery beauties that would complement all of the ten collections. MAC Mineralize foundation provided a flawless base before adding a putty coloured smokey eye topped with an iridescent gloss for a snowflake like glint. Balmy pink lips and just flushed cheeks sealed the deal. “It’s a super soft, seamless and ethereal look,” added Andrew.  Session stylist Kenna meanwhile, used ghd Classic Stylers to create effortless cool-girl hair that would work well with the hats in many of the collections, while texture and volume come coutesy of GHD root lift spray.  Pretty or what?

We cant wait to see the girls hitting the catwalk later today. Congratulations guys!
