We're totally crushing on '90s Drew Barrymore right now. From rock'n'roll locks to bold lips, heavily lined eyes and strong brows, the actress was committed to the trends of the decade - and we love the result. It's all the best bits of the grungey, glamorous era rolled into one beautiful face.
Luckily for us Drew's filmed a makeup tutorial explaining how to get her iconic look using products from her Flower makeup line. Shot for The Cut, she shows us how to create an updated take on her everyday face from back in the day.
'As a girl who did a lot of makeup in the 90s I feel I should have something to offer on this subject,' she says. 'Don't forget your powder and put it on everywhere because that's what we did.'
You can watch the video over at The Cut, but here's how to get Drew's look in her words. PLUS a number a gratuitous snaps of her incredible makeup, because we're that nice.
1. Liquid liner
'Do a liquid liner all the way across. In the '90s I always started from the corners. I'm also going to do the liquid liner across the bottom.'
2. Pencil liner
'Take a black pencil liner on the inside of the eye on the upper lid. Go all the way across particularly on the inside. Drag it all over and bring it underneath on the traditional waterline. It softens the sharpness of the liquid line.'
'Take mascara and really attack the bottom lashes.'
'A colour that I miss since the '90s is a great brick red. A red that has a lot of browns in it. It's amazing how quickly it makes all of your make up pop immediately.'
'I also just take a tiny dab right on my cheeks. I like my cheeks to match the tone of lips.'
'Another thing I used to do in the '90s is a matte look. It wasn't the dewy time, it wasn't glossy it was all about a bit more of a matte performance. So go over everything with a matte powder. When your eyelids are really beautifully powdered it just looks more finished.'
'Use a concealer or powder to go over little red spots or something that got picked up by the reflection of your lipstick because in the '90s we all went for this matte fair all-over look.'
'Also give the eyebrows a little love with an eyebrow pencil. Follow the colour that matches the base of your hair.'
'And for one last final touch to bring hair into it, we all in the '90s rocked good piecey bedheads. Get your fingers and jack it up at the root.'
Of course, it wasn't just Drew who rocked a killer '90s makeup look. Check out our 10 favourite '90s beauty icons in the round-up below.
