FIRST LOOK: Burberry Beauty Unveils New Summer Splash Collection

Burberry's latest beauty offerings

When Burberry unveiled their beauty line back in 2010, we were uber excited to get our hands on such hot fashion/beauty property. The original collection was made up of 96 pieces (plenty to choose from- we had huge problems deciding, as you can imagine), with inspiration stemming from the iconic Burberry trenchcoat. At the time, Chief creative officer Christopher Bailey, said, “Like the trenchcoat, it can be worn anywhere and at any time.”

Ever since, we’ve looked towards Burberry beauty when we want classic, no-frills, gorgeously timeless makeup, so we were over the moon to hear that Burberry’s new Summer Splash collection hits shelves this week- just in time for the mini heatwave!

The new collection, made up of 2 limited edition eye palettes and a pretty awesome extension to the Fresh Glow line, is themed around beautiful bronzed skin and high-summer beach makeup. Not off to the beach, you say? Fear not- this is sophisticated colour at its best, and the perfect addition to your urban summer.

Dewy, glowing complexions were all over the catwalk this S/S and Burberry’s latest offerings promise to deliver just that. Fans of the brand’s cult Fresh Glow illuminator will rejoice over its transformation into a luminous highlighting powder, £31 whilst the fluid range of the same has been extended with a new warm, sheer bronze shade, guaranteed to bring a natural hint of warmth to the skin.

Although we want it all, us Grazia ladies have the gorgeous eye palettes, £34 each, at the top of our wish-lists- the water resistant creamy eyeshadows are just the ticket for this balmy weather, and the vibrant blue hues are guaranteed to evoke images of sunny shores- even if you’re sat in the office.

Want in? Burberry’s Summer Splash collection is available now.
