Find two xx after an email or text a little bit soulless? Well thanks to Burberry you can now send a message sealed with an ACTUAL kiss via their new project.
Burbs has teamed up with Google to create a site where you post virtual kisses around the globe, accompanied with a message. Talk about a love letter, eh? You can't buy anything on this new microsite, but you do have the option to Burberry-fy your pout, virtually applying one of their five shades of lipstick. But here's the cool bit, you can then follow your kiss via Google Earth and Street View, as a map on the site will show the special envelopes whizzing around the globe.
The brand's chief creative officer Christopher Bailey said that the Burberry Kisses project started with the idea of 'giving technology a bit of heart and soul and using it to unite the Burberry family across the world — by telling a story that makes the digital personal.' This project also ties in rather nicely with their Fall 2013 collection, which is covered in tiny little hearts. Anyone else predicting a loved up Fall Burbs campaign? Perhaps some kisses from Cara?

Burberry is well and truly entrenched in the digital world, as you can order their collections fresh off the runway and see models before they hit the Burbs catwalk. Christopher Bailey said of the brand's digital savvy approach: 'We’re constantly thinking about how we translate the emotion of what we create and experience in the real world into the digital space, whether that’s capturing the energy and excitement of a live gig, the hum and buzz of anticipation before a runway show, or just the feeling you get when you pull on your trenchcoat on a rainy morning.'
In true Burberry style they have created a mini campaign video demonstrating how to send a Burbs kiss, with models Charlotte Wiggins and Rob Pryor. This is Burberry, so extra emotion is then added with a soundtrack, as Misty Miller sings 'Evergreen Love.'
