Trend Tuesday: We Reveal Our Top Tips For Getting The Ultimate Pixie Crop

When it comes to hair trends, team Grazia beauty really have seen it all. It might only be September, but already 2013 has seen us sporting some rather awesome Ombré hues, the odd fishtail plait, a slicked-back wet look, low-slung buns, high-slung buns (aka the topknot), rock ‘n’ roll waves, centre partings and even the old 90s staple, the scrunchie. However, we really hadn’t prepared ourselves for the return of the pixie crop, and by golly, isn’t just everyone jumping on this hair bandwagon right now? It all started last September when Anne Hathaway chopped her locks off for her role in Les Miserables, and the ball has been rolling (and the scissors-a-chopping) ever since…

With the likes of Beyoncé, Miley Cyrus, Carey Mulligan, Coco Rocha and Rihanna all going for the chop this year, we reckon this trend might just be on to something. Tempted? We are, although we really do understand that having a pair of scissors to your beautiful long locks (which you’ve spent an age trying to grow) is pretty daunting, so we’ve got some rather nifty little tips in this week’s brand-spanking new issue of Grazia which you certainly don’t want to miss out on!

Delve into the beauty pages of this week’s issue and you’ll find the full lowdown on how to get the best pixie crop for your face shape and hair style. Want to add colour? Struggling to style layers? Want to keep the look feminine? Want to work your fringe into the look? Fear not, Graziettes, as we’ve got the solutions to all your common pixie crop conundrums. You can thank us later…

In the meantime, look through our gallery of the best pixie crops ever and get ready for some serious hair-spiration…
