Zosia Mamet goes blonde
By now you'll know Grazia Daily is a leeetle obsessed with TV show 'Girls' - and with that obsession comes a fascination with the four lead actresses. We adore director-slash-actress Lena Dunham for her outspokenness, her non-stop Instagramming and for basically being the new Woody Allen (according to Diablo Cody, at least). We've also become entralled by Allison Williams' glossy beauty, not least because she looks shockingly like our very own Kate Middleton AND Allison is now besties with Katy Perry - the pair went to the Grammy Awards, dontcha know. But today, our attention turns to Zosia Mamet.
The 25-year-old plays Shoshanna Shapiro in the HBO series and we've fallen in love with her kooky character. She's best known for her preppy shift dresses, Juicy Couture velour (for sleepovers only) and a fascinator in her sleek brunette hair - which is why we're all the more surprised to see her sporting a bright blonde mane. GASP.
Oh yes, Zosia arrived at the 'Late Show with David Letterman' in New York on Wednesday looking barely recognisable. The signature brunette hair-do was gone and its place, golden tresses tumbling over her shoulders in soft waves. Well hello Goldilocks! She's been making a gradual transition to brighter territory since landing a role in a Broadway play, but now she's gone the whole blonde hog - and we likey.
Zosia Mamet as Shoshanna in 'Girls'
It was yesterday that the starlet really made the most of her hair update by opting for a more adventurous makeup look to match her blonde tresses. This involved a pillarbox red lip, black eyeliner and strong Cara-esque brows and with her porclain perfect skin, it makes for a striking beauty look.
But what say you? Do you want to see the brunette Shoshanna back? And what will this mean for the TV series? Perhaps Shosh decides to hit the bottle (of hair dye) and go for a more Hollywood-tastic look? Only time will tell. For now, we can enjoy more brunette-to-blonde hair transformations in the gallery below...
