It was only last week that we were cooing over the sight of Pixie Geldof's brand new hairstyle. The model-slash-DJ-slash-singer added a new update to her hair wardrobe when she went for the chop with a chic, sharp cut during a shoot in Miami - so what a treat to see Pixie's 'do in the flesh at the British Fashion Awards last night.
'It's kind of the same haircut I had six years ago so I was like, "I'll lop that off,"' Pixie said of the new 'do. 'I like Jean Seberg so it was inspired by that French style.' So has her style changed to match the tomboyish look? 'Whenever you have a new hair cut, it does change a bit. I've been wearing polo necks for the last week being like, "Oh, I'm so chic" but then you realise you're just round the house wearing a hoody and you realise nothing's changed'.
Her ensemble last night was certainly more feminine that we're used to from the notoriously grunge-glam Londoner. Pixie chose a full-skirted, long-sleeved satin frock belted at the waist in a sumptuous orange colour courtesy of her designer pal Jonathan Saunders. 'I think he's a great person to represent British fashion with,' she said. And when said designer scoops a gong on the night, you know you've made the right move.
