New Hair Alert! Beyonce Gets The Chop And Shows Off A Blonde Pixie Crop

Your eyes do not decieve you! Beyoncé Knowles has ditched her trademark honey curls and gone for a brand-spanking new look in the form of an edgy, blonde pixie crop. Woweee. The superstar unveiled her drastic new look via her Instagram account on Wednesday evening and we have to say, whilst it’s a huge change from Bey’s voluminous ‘dos, the Grazia beauty desk give this look a 10-out-of-10. Don't you?

The 31-year-old songstress can be seen admiring her new look in a series of selfies and from the look on Bey’s face, she's clearly happy with her decision to go for the big chop and who can blame her? With her hair blonder than ever, slightly combed back, parted to the side and complete with dark roots, this is one heck of a hipster ‘do. Might this be a whole new direction for Mrs Carter?

Beyoncé has been sporting a long weave for years now (dating back to the days of Destiny’s Child), so the decision to go for the chop can’t have been an easy one. One thing's for sure, it's certainly a fuss-free approach that's perfect for the busy mother of one and we can't help but wonder whether she took some hairspiration from fellow songstress Rihanna who also unveiled a short, more natural 'do earlier this month. Yep, it's all about returning to your roots, ladies.

Beyoncé’s wig collection was once estimated to be worth over $1 million, and rumours surfacing say that the songstress is set to donate her worn pieces to a charity that provides wigs for chemotherapy patients. So it looks like the crop is here to stay. But how do you think it compares to her many, MANY previous hair looks? Check out her greatest styles in the gallery below and have your say...
