Back in February the news dropped that Kate Moss would be the new face of Kérastase for their first ever styling range. At the time we got a couple of sneak peeks of Mossy's mega blow dry, with a behind the scenes video which showed Kate's trademark 'I just woke up from a night in a Glastonbury tent' hair, get transformed into thick, bouncy Hollywood curls. Well now her glossy campaign has finally landed and as we suspected - it's a good'un.
We reckon her 'lift vertige' 'do is the biggest Kate's hair has ever, ever been - talk about VOLUME. Whereas in the campaign for 'spray a porter' Kate's hair is styled in glossy Hollywood waves. Mossy was given the Hollywood treatment to model the new 11-piece range styling range inspired by skin-care formulas and textures.
It's a big style shift for the super who usually keeps her hair in loose scruffy waves, but it turns out she likes the added lift as she said: 'I am happy with the images — I like the way my hair is styled — all completely different styles from one another, but all representative of my unique style,' said Moss. She added that she has used the haircare brand for years.
This new collection has two lines - Construct and Finish. Construct includes a beach spray, Spray à Porter, Lift Vertige, a root lifter, Forme Fatale, a blow dry gel, hair-thickening Mousse Bouffante and Boucles d’Art, a curl shaper. The Finish range includes Touche Finale, a shine serum, Short Mania, a semi-matte sculpting paste, Gloss Appeal, a shine spray, Laque Dentelle and Laque Couture, hairsprays and a dry shampoo called Powder Bluff. Wowza that's a whole lotta products to transform us into Ms Moss.
The campaign marks the first ever consumer ads for Kérastase and will come out in August. Julien Bouzitat, vice president of marketing for Kérastase Paris and Shu Uemura Art of Hair said of Kate, 'She is kind of a chameleon woman in that she [can sport] casual, cool beachy waves or a sophisticated full-on blowout. We think she’s going to be appealing to a lot of women.' Well it's certainly appealing to all of us at Grazia HQ.
