05 August 2014 by

It’s official - No longer are visors most associated with 70’s tennis players and old-lady tourists, because this season, in the hands and on the catwalks of Marni and Marc by Marc Jacobs, they are officially the most-wanted hair accessory of all. The reinvention of the not-so-humble visor is perhaps unsurprising when these sleek shade-keepers arrive not just with plentiful style kudos, but a whole host of beauty benefits too; think UV protection for your skin and eyes, a means to stop your makeup melting and an excellent way of keeping locks off your face.

“Do bear in mind that the best way to style your visor is by pairing it with a low slung ponytail or messy top knot for the ultimate sports-luxe combination,” explains session stylist and A-list fave Adam Reed. We’re sold!

Any other top tips? “Keep your hair product free,” explains Adam Reed. “If you do need to refresh your hairline later in the day, simply spritz Percy and Reed Invisible Dry Shampoo, £12 into the hair to revive and refresh and to add a little movement and volume.”
