Kristen Stewart gets cornrow crazy at Paris Haute Couture Fashion Week
As news broke this week of Robert Pattinson dating Elvis Presley’s granddaughter Riley Keough, ex Kristen Stewart has been flying the ‘I couldn’t care less’ flag at Paris Haute Couture Fashion Week and rocking the latest hair trend – cornrows.
Now calm yourselves, we’re not talking a full head of neatly lined plaits a la David Beckham circa 2003. The ultimate hair style this season is a side of loose braids matched with a flowing wave of tousled hair falling over the opposite shoulder. Kristen Stewart made her entrance into the Zuhair Murad show at Hotel de Montmorency in Paris on Thursday, a vision in a bustier jumpsuit and braids. Take that Edward Cul…ahem, we mean Robert! And the edgy starlet isn’t the first to sport this latest little hair revival.
Cornrows have always been a firm favourite with our Brit bombshell Cheryl Cole, and more recently the likes of Cara Delevingne, Jennifer Aniston and Khloe Kardashian have been trying out the look. The beauty of the style is that you stand very little chance of getting it drastically wrong. Section off your hair on your chosen side, decide how many plaits you want and get to it. Look messy? Then you’re bang on trend.

Best of all this style will last you throughout the day and well into the night. Kristen Stewart was seen landing at LAX sporting the same style after a 12 hour flight from her brief sojourn in Paris. Flight-friendly and fuss-free? Now that’s a summer hair trend we can get on board with! It is an easy way to update your hair mid-way through a festival and the perfect accompaniment on holiday to salt-washed beach waves. If you find yourself sans beach this summer, simply spritz salt spray - try TIGI Catwalk Session Series Salt Spray, £12.70 - into damp hair and scrunch gently for loose surfer girl waves.
For a glam rock chick effect pair your braids with smouldering smokey eyes and lashings of mascara. Do you really need any more convincing? Make like Kristen and Cara and get serious with some side braids this summer.
