Who said anything about blondes having more fun? Clearly ready to prove a point and wave good riddance to her Carrie-blonde tresses, we couldn’t help but notice Homeland starlet Claire Danes’ gorgeous new strawberry-blonde ‘do this weekend.

Claire first unveiled her new look towards the end of last week at a private Homeland screening in NYC and us beauty ladies have to admit that we haven’t seen Ms Danes looking this radiant for a while. Way to go, Claire!

Although we’ve always been huge fans of the actress and her ethereal beauty look (cue Romeo and Juliet circa 1996) there’s just something about this new, copper hue which totally transforms the actress’ features and highlights her skin tone and eyes to absolute perfection.

We’ve become so used to seeing the 34-year old actress rocking a blonde mane over the past few years so were over the moon to see the starlet ringing the changes and clearly ready to mix things up for the new Autumn Winter season. If, like us, you religiously watched an adolescent Claire Danes in My So-Called Life then Claire’s new ‘do might give you an insight into what Danes’ character Angela Chase might have looked like today.

Either way, we’re totally loving Claire’s new look although we are left wondering where her inspiration came from - us beauty ladies cannot help but notice that the new red shade makes Claire look uncannily similar to current strawberry-blonde co-star Damien Lewis (aka Brody). Filming has just finished for the third series of cult hit Homeland, so might this new dye-job be Claire’s homage to Brody? Damien certainly has a rather gorgeous hair hue, dontcha think?

So what do you think of Claire’s new style? See how it measures up compared to her other great hair moments below…
