You only have to look at Anne Hathaway looking sunny, happy and totally gorgeous to see that she is living by the ‘blondes have more fun’ mantra.
Ms Hathaway was the center of attention at the punk themed Met Ball on Monday after surprising everyone with her new blonde hair – a stark contrast from the, some might say, sensible brunette ‘do she has worn since shaving her hair for her Oscar-winning performance in Les Miserables.
After the swanky event, Anne swept her blonde crop to the side to attend the just-as-swanky after party for which she switched into a dancefloor-appopriate dress.
The next day, the actress proved her new style is around to stay when she was snapped out in New York, casually dressed in a black T-shirt and jeans and accessorising her new hair hue with a star-print head scarf, black sunnies and one pleased-as-punch smile.
After a surge of celebrities dying their hair brunette last season, the always style-savvy Leigh Lezark got the blonde ball rolling back in February when she revealed her dramatic change from dark brown to bright blonde, revealing an amazing new look with it.
Since then, stars from Rumer Willis to Drew Barrymore have lightened up with glamorous results and after a brief return to brunette after her Oscar win, Jennifer Lawrence quickly returned back to blonde, with a new shorter hair-do to boot.
And this week, as if an one A-lister going fair wasn’t enough proof that blondes really do have more fun, Rihanna posted a picture of herself and her new long and lightened locks with blonde fashion favourites, Cara Delevingne and Rita Ora, saying just that. ‘Yup. We definitely have more fun #blondelife,’ she quipped.
Blonde life? We want!
