When Anne Hathaway went for the chop for her role in Les Mis, we thought that was a pretty big beauty transformation- the kind us normal folk might spend an average of five months working towards only to chicken out on the way to the salon. So, you can imagine the shock and squeals of glee when we spotted Miss Hath’s new peroxide ‘do at The Met Ball last night. The theme of the Ball was ‘Punk: Chaos to Couture’, so hats off to Anne and her punky, gelled bleach-blonde crop. Rock on!
Anne’s brunette elfin-crop that we’ve become so accustomed to seeing as of late was recently voted the most inspirational on-screen ‘do, so why the decision to go blonde? Is this the actress’ way of going all edgy? Or perhaps inspiration came from teen starlet Miley Cyrus’ chopped crop? Either way, let’s just hope Hathaway fans find this new hairstyle equally inspirational. Anne-Hath was also on the receiving end of another award recently- one of the most hated celebs in Hollywood- so perhaps this look is her attempt to win over some more fans?!
We think Miss Hathaway’s new look is totally refreshing and much more youthful than the brunette pixie bob. See the way she’s quiffed-up the crown and added oodles of volume and body at the back? Amazing. What’s more, it’ll ward off any more K-Middy comparisons to boot!
