Andrew Barton Reveals The Secrets Behind Naomi Watts’ ‘Diana’ NYC Premiere Retro Glam Hair

Has this blonde beauty ever had a make-up blunder? Every time we see the ever-gorgeous actress, her skin is always glowing, her pout is rosy-perfection and her honey-hued tresses are glossy and uber-bouncy. Talk about a beauty crush! So, when we caught sight of the 45-year old actress last night at the New York premiere of Diana, we were totally wowed by her stunning retro glam hairstyle. Teamed with an A-list bold brow and a slick of red lipstick, Naomi looked every inch the red-carpet beauty. What’s more, us beauty ladies reckon this is a winning look for the party season (fast approaching FYI) so we caught up with hairstylist extraordinaire Andrew Barton who shared with us his top tips to achieving this style at home. Read on and learn girls- it’s easier than you think.

Hairspray (medium hold): We’ve long been fans of Oribe’s Superfine Hairspray, £27.50- flexible, brushable and leaves hair shiny-soft.

1. For best results wash and dry the hair, leaving it slightly damp. Comb the hair into sections and spray each with your heat protective spray. Roll the sections of hair into Velcro rollers and use Kerby grips to secure.

2. Use a hairdryer with a diffuser attachment to finish off the drying process. This will take approximately 10-20 minutes, depending on the thickness of the hair. Allow the hair to cool completely before removing the rollers.

3. Use your fingers to comb out the curls until the desired result is achieved. Finish with hairspray to hold in place.
