Alexa Chung On Her Love Of Onesies, Beauty Mishaps And Why She Would Look Like Dave Grohl With Short Hair: EXCLUSIVE

19 March 2013 by

Despite the fact that her haircut has it's own name, Alexa Chung revealed exclusively in this week's issue of Grazia that she was never brave enough to experiment with colour as a teenager. The new face of L'Oréal Professionnel INOA colour confessed, 'I've never done anything wild. I wasn't cool enough! And I think I was a bit scared if it went wrong.' The presenter has had the odd beauty mishap, however, as she admitted to once accidentally dyeing her locks bright orange.

These days Chung is looked after to by stylist Jose Quijano at Neville Hair & Beauty who adds higher and lower mocha tones to keep her tresses looking vibrant and natural. And she won't be messing with the length like her good friend Pixie Geldof as she told us that short hair would definitely not suit her face shape. 'The thing is, you never realise what you look like until you have really looked, you know? And I know I have a horsey face. If I cut off my hair I would look like Dave Grohl with short hair. He looks great, because he has long hair. No one thought he looked good with short hair. I have big ears, too, and if I had short hair they would just look enormous.'

We're not so sure that the presenter has a ‘horsey face’, or that Dave Grohl looked bad with short hair, but we do agree with Alexa's opinion on onesies. Like model of the moment Cara Delevinge, style icon Chung is passionate about the sofa staple: 'I mean, it's just so comfortable. I used to get more dressed up when I was at home. I'd put on all sorts of ridiculous things, just for slobbing about in. But when I heard the call of loungewear I was like, "What was I thinking before?"'
