UPDATE: Chanel Launch Part 'Deux' Of The New Chanel No.5 Campaign Feauturing Brad Pitt!

17 October 2012 by

On Monday we brought you news of Chanel’s awesome and somewhat powerful new Chanel No.5 campaign video with hunk of all hunks Brad Pitt talking away in a soothing and really rather sexy voice.  Today we bring you Chanel part deux (dont say we don't look after you), the sequel video that still includes plenty of Brad action, but contains a bit more uber luxurious Chanel imagery. If you’ve been foolish enough to not watch the first already, we urge you to do so before you view this next snippet...  Just saying.

From futuristic landscapes to the snap shots of NYC, this vid really will take your breath away and unfolds the dream-like world of the legendary Chanel No. 5 Fragrance. We’re naturally thrilled that Brad still features heavily and almost did a double take at the dark haired girl who is the spitting image of Angelina Jolie. The model’s dark hair and angular face had us all confused for a second, but on further inspection, we see that it isn’t a romantic reunion courtesy of Chanel...

Rumour has it that Mr. Pitt was paid a whopping $7 million dollars to make the commercial for the fashion house. Wowza! And the irony is in the fact that the campaign’s release comes at the same time as the 13th anniversary of Brad’s unquestionably most epic film to date, Fight Club, in which he plays a consumerism-hatinng salesman. Ha, that’s Hollywood for you!

Fans have taken to Twitter and YouTube to share their thoughts on the video, which generated 3,000 ‘likes’ on YouTube but has also faced a lot of criticism  and ‘dislikes’ too. Many feel it doesn’t really do justice to the fragrance, and whilst Mr. Pitt provides some serious eye candy, some think the message is a little confused. Don’t hate the player, hate the game people - us Graziettes are fans!

Let us know YOUR thoughts on the video and tell us what you think of Brad Pitt’s somewhat interesting monologue…
