Exciting news just in! L’Oréal Paris has just announced Lea Michele as their newest ambassador. Wahoo! We're thrilled for the Glee starlet who looks foxier than ever in the images. Ever since she tweeted that photo of herself in a humungous dress, we've had our beady eye on Lea and now that's she has teamed up with one of our fave beauty brands? Well it must be love.
Lea seems as excited as we are about the news, not surprisngly. In fact, she was thrown into beauty when she started acting as a young child. “Growing up on stage, I was introduced to makeup at a young age and I will never forget the first time I tried on a L’Oréal Paris iconic lipstick," she says. "It was instant glamour and I’ve been hooked ever since!"
The actress has been a huge fan of the brand for years and 'Because You're Worth It' means more to her than a catchy slogan. "It wasn’t until I was a bit older that I fully understood the brand’s message of a woman’s worth, which I wholeheartedly agree with," Ms Michele says.
Although we know Lea best as Rachel Berry in Glee, she kicked off her career at the tender age of eight, making her professional debut as Young Cosette in the classic Broadway production Les Misérables. Since then, she has shared the stage with Broadway greats in Ragtime, Fiddler on the Roof and Spring Awakening, earning herself a Drama Desk Award nomination for “Outstanding Actress in a Musical”. She's returning to our screens in the fourth season of Glee for which she has received a People’s Choice Award, a Teen Choice Award AND a Screen Actors Guild Award. Yep, Lea really is worth it.
Cyril Chapuy, the Global Brand President of L’Oréal Paris who appears to have a serious girl crush on the actress, said, “I am thrilled that Lea joins our roster of amazing Spokespersons. In just a few years, her incredible talent has made her one of the most popular young actress in a TV series. Lea is fun, committed, genuine, with an inspiring sense of style, in total resonance with the Brand’s values."
Lea joins L'Oreal's very good looking family that already includes Jennifer Lopez, Beyoncé Knowles, Julianna Margulies, Eva Longoria, Andie MacDowell and our very own Cheryl Cole. But we'll have to wait until early next year to see her in in the TV and print advertising campaign. Perhaps she'll SING that famous slogan?
