Guess What The Models Have Been Eating Backstage At London Fashion Week

17 September 2012 by

So gals, London Fashion Week is well and truly underway and we have to admit the schedule has been a pretty full on. We've managed to clock up 89 tube rides, 31 espresso shots and 6 blisters on our tootsies and all in the name of bringing you the hottest backstage scoops. It's a pleasure!

Backstage at LFW

When we're not chatting to the likes of models Bette Franke and Rose Smith, we love looking out for hot new micro-trends and always keep an eye on everything we see, from what shoes Cara Delevingne and co. are wearing to the handbags that dominate the cloakrooms. Call us weird, but these guys see it all first so we reckon their knowledge is certainly worth knowing. One thing that has caught our attention backstage this season, everywhere from Maria Grachvogel to Christopher Kane, is the snack supply and whilst there are plenty of cakes and chocolates for the girls to munch on, they're far more interested in snacking on something healthy and nutrient-rich - even model du jour Karlie Kloss has been making her own vegan cookies! From Jax Coconut Water (the hottest fash week drink, FYI) to protein bars and yummy almonds, these girls would rather keep their energy levels up without the cellulite, thank you very much.

The hotly talked about Model Munch Box

Cue the very clever Model Munch Box from the girl that brought you Nosh Detox, Geeta Sidhu-Robb. Yep, the clues in the title girls and it's A-mazing - even gorgeous Georgia Jagger is a big fan so we know it must be a good'un. Packed into a portable box is a one-stop healthy snack stop for models on-the-go, including a raw smoothie (yes, the ONLY raw smoothie in the world where ingredients are pressurised rather than pastorized to ensure all vitamins stay present), a power snack packet of cacao nibs, goji berries and pumpkin seeds as well as spiced coconut flakes and raw protein bars containing nuts, seeds and dates. And take it from us, it's all super-delish!

It's one of our fave things we've spotted backstage and we reckon this will long out-live fashion week - it's the perfect on-the-go snackette and if it's good enough for the supermodels then we want it too. Luckily you can get your hands on one via the Nosh website and they're only £14.95, delivered to your door. Wahoo - thanks for the tip off modelistas!
