Rihanna's tweeted this picture yesterday from Barbados
Oh dear RiRi, it looks like your wild ways have finally caught up with you! Last year, the We Found Love singer starred in a series of adverts for Nivea who also sponsored her 'Loud' world tour. But now the brand have deemed the singer too ‘sexy’ for their 100 year old wholesome values.
Stefan Heidenreich, the new CEO of Nivea's parent company Beiersdorf told a German Newspaper, "The advert starring Rihanna was a no go. I do not understand how Nivea can be brought into association with Rihanna." Yikes! The cosmetic tycoon added, "Nivea is a company which stands for trust, family and reliability." Ooooh!
As you imagine, feisty Ri did not take this lying down. The singer responded by simply tweeting a headshot of Heidenreich with the blurb ‘No caption necessary’. Miaow! Now a spokesperson for Beiersdorf has claimed that the California Girls contract simply ended, explaining to Marketing Week, "From the beginning this music-cooperation was scheduled for one year and ended as planned at the end of 2011.". Hmmm, sounds dubious. Either way RiRi’s not worrying too much about the error of her ways. Her recent tweets have seen her pulling faces whilst showing off some rather impressive cleavage and swigging beer. Anyone say good girl gone bad?
