How-To: Support Tom Daley With Diving-Inspired, Patriotic Splash Nail Art!

What do you think of this patriotic splash nail art? Perfect for celebrating Rebecca Adlington's success? Ideal for supporting Tom Daley? Well, you're in luck - it's super easy to do at home!

Step 1: Apply the base colour

Apply a base coat and a silver polish on all the nails apart from the ring finger.

Step 2: Apply the statement colour

Paint the ring finger with a red glitter polish. We used OPI's The Thrill Of Brazil.

Step 3: Paint the tip of the nail blue

Messily add a stripe of blue to the end of the little finger, middle finger and thumb nails.

Step 4: Prepare a nail art brush

Take a little of the nail varnish on a nail art brush... 

Step 5: Draw the splash!

Then use the thin brush to turn draw the shape of the splash around the edge of the blue stripe. Add some speckles of blue further up the nail - this is where you'll stick the jewels.

step 6: Repeat with red

Repeat the process with red polish on the index finger

Step 7: Gems

Apply a top coat. Lick the end of a cocktail stick and use it to pick up a nail art or craft gem. Stick it on the speckles of polish on the nail. Use 1 or 2 per nail.
