Best Side Sweep: Kristen Stewart vs Lea Michele

Kristen Stewart and Lea Michele whipped out very different fashion looks at the Teen Choice Awards, but both thought side-swept hair deserved a nod!

Kristen kept her style casual, but got our interest with a small braid, while Lea Michele added voluminous waves to her ombre ends.

Best High Ponytail: Demi Lovato vs Jordin Sparks

Demi and Jordin are faced off with high crested pony tails and bright yellow ensembles. Sparks' high ponytail was pulled tightly and elegant, complimenting her bright canary yellow dress.

Lovato took the frivolity of the night to new heights, with her hair pulled to the crown and wrapped at the base – she’s a warrior!

Best Blonde: Cat Deeley vs Hayden Panettiere

Blonde and blow dried go head to head. Cat’s caramel ‘do is sleek and straightened, while keeping volume and shape. Hayden shows that in this case, platinum blondes have more fun, with blown out hair and wild waves.

Best Up-Do: Taylor Swift vs Zoe Saldana

Taylor Swift is known for her tussled tresses and statuesque styles. This up-do, with its side-swept bangs and angelic pulled pieces compliments her elegant silhouette. In the meantime, Zoe’s up-do was sleek and pulled back into a simple bun, showing off her gorgeous geometric patterned dress.

While Taylor is a belle of the ball, Zoe got the idea that Teen Choice is more about simplicity and fun – she certainly got our vote!

Best Braid: Kendall Jenner vs. Lucy Hale

As a younger member of the Kardashian dynasty, Kendall Jenner has learned to balance Hollywood glamour and Kardashian edge. Her one-shouldered dress is complimented by a messy side braid. Lucy Hale’s locks are more tussled and voluminous, complimenting her mascara and orangey-red gloss.

Best Brunette: Selena Gomez vs Nina Dobrev

Nina Dobrev kept her hair loose and untamed and her make-up sun-kissed and fresh. Selena Gomez’s blow-dried and straightened hair was sleek and perfected, but not as fresh, and her intense cosmetic choices had her a tad too mature for the event.

Best Fringe: Hannah Simone vs Carly Rae Jepson

The New Girl star’s style was award winning last night with bright coral lips bloom, sleek blow dried hair and black mascara eyes. Carly Rae Jepsen played a tune to a more tropical beat, with her hair sculpted around her face and emphasising her kohl-lined eyes.
