Kate Middleton visited the National Portrait Gallery this morning with noticeably shorter hair. The Duchess of Cambridge’s perfectly blow-dried locks looked a good two inches shorter than at Wimbledon. She teamed the look with a vibrant blue Stella McCartney shift dress, available from Selfridges.com, as well as a statement necklace and black kitten heels.
At the tennis, K Mid’s hair was chest length with medium length layers falling two inches above thick longer sections. Today her hair was still pristinely coiffed, styled into the classic K-Mid side parting, but it looked like it had been given more shape.
The shorter layers of today's style curl more closely into her jaw and the medium length sections fall just below her collar bone. The longer layers look much finer than at the tennis, but still fall at chest length.
Perhaps the Duchess has recently visited her hairdresser, James Pryce. The stylist has styled K Mid’s hair since before her wedding last year and works at the glam Josh Wood Atelier salon in West London. He told us in April that getting Kate’s glossy style is “all about the foundation of the haircut”.
He said: “Getting a good precision cut is paramount. Once you have a good shape you can then texturise the hair, so it’s essential.”
A precise haircut needs regular trims right? Do you think Midders has had her hair cut?
