Is Guerlain's Little Black Dress Fragrance Ad The Cutest You've Ever Seen?

02 July 2012 by

Here in the Grazia Beauty Department we're super duper excited about the launch of chic French beauy brand Guerlain’s long awaited new scent La Petite Robe Noir... Want to know why? Well this isn’t just another samey fragrance launch you know - this scent tells the story of a little black dress! Created by acclaimed Guerlain perfumer Thierry Wasser, it's a youthful, airy fragrance which captures the frivolity, glamour and sophistication of your fave LDB in, well one fell spritz!  Rose, black cherry, tonka, vanilla, iris (our fave) and delicious patchouli all make the delicious melange..

But it gets better, because La Petite Robe Noire comes accompanied with the most awesome illustrated advertising campaign that we have seen for a while, after Guerlain gave a free artistic reign to artistic duo Kuntzel and Geygas.  Together they have brought the character of the Little Black Dress to life.  And isn’t she just the most mischievious, endearing and impossibly chic creation you have ever seen?

Check her out in the video above!

Moreover, to celebrate the exclusive launch of La Petite Robe Noir in Selfridges Oxford Street, Guerlain have shipped over a giant installation of the little black dress, which will be suspended in store.  Created in Brittany, France the dress took its creator a whopping 120 hours to build and contains a massive 400 sheets of black silk paper. Check out the installation of the Little Black Dress at Selfridges after its journey across from France to London (in a 22 cubic metre van just f.y.i) on the video below.
We love!
